Privacy notice

Who we are

Meridian Clay ("we", "us") markets land, completed homes and part-built projects across Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt — some of it our own, most of it marketed on behalf of the owner. This notice covers anyone who visits this website or gets in touch with us, whether or not you ever become a client. What we collect

Only what you give us, through one of these:

Enquiries

Your name, phone, email and whatever you write in the message, when you contact us through the site.

Bookings

Your name, phone, email if you give one, the number of people coming and any notes, when you book an inspection.

Chat and assistant transcripts

What you type to a consultant or to the property assistant, and your name and phone if you leave them.

Voice call-backs

If you ask the voice assistant to have someone call you, your name and number.

Site logs

The ordinary technical record any web server keeps of a visit — address, browser, the pages requested — kept briefly, for security and for working out what broke when something does.

Why

To arrange viewings and answer enquiries — that is the whole of it. We do not sell your details, and we do not use them to market anything you did not ask about.

Who sees it

The firm's staff

The consultants and office staff who need it to answer you or run the viewing.

Paystack

If you pay an inspection fee online, Paystack handles the card details — we only ever see that the payment cleared.

The email relay

The service we send booking confirmations and enquiry replies through.

The voice service

Carries a call, if you speak to us by voice rather than in writing.

We do not sell or rent your details to anyone else.

How long we keep it

Chat and assistant conversations are removed twelve months after the last message. Enquiries are removed twenty-four months after they were received, once they have been closed — an open enquiry is never removed by the purge, however old. Inspection bookings are anonymised twenty-four months after they were made; the booking itself is kept, not deleted, because it is part of our record of a payment. The schedule that carries this out runs monthly.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete what we no longer have a reason to keep. Write to support@appsotech.com and we will deal with it directly.

Cookies

We set three cookies, none of them for advertising or for tracking you across other sites:

mc_visitor

An anonymous id, so a chat or a booking you have made can be found again on your next visit. Lasts a year.

mc_admin

Keeps a staff member signed in to the console. Lasts up to twelve hours.

mc_mfa

Carries a staff member's sign-in through its second step. Lasts five minutes.

We also remember whether you chose a light or dark theme in your browser's local storage rather than a cookie — it stays on your device and is never sent to us.
